Empowering Solutions
by Antonia reaves
"When the solution is simple, God is answering."--Albert Einstein
For Every Problem There is a Solution
When we feel overwhelmed by challenging circumstance, we can easily forget that every problem has contained within it, the energy of a solution. Often the drama inherent in challenging circumstances can be so involving that, similar to a radio or TV show, we find it difficult to "change the channel" as it were and even entertain the possibility of a positive outcome.
For the process that follows, I have described what I do to shift my attention and get it going in a more productive direction that also feels really good to me. I have written out how I do this process. I recommend following these steps closely until you have had some successes. After that, feel free to adapt the steps to suit your own particular needs and desires, keeping in mind the goal of this process is a reorientation of your attention. This change in attitude and expectations is where the real magic lies.
Step One--Write Out a Description of the Situation
To begin this process, I either go to my computer or take out a piece of paper and a pen. At the top of a page, I type or write "Situation." (I prefer using the word situation instead of problem because situation sounds lighter to me, as though it is something temporary that will more than likely shift and change.)
Under "Situation" I briefly describe in one or two sentences the highlights of what is going on, as well as the negative emotions I'm experiencing.
Here are some examples of different situations and how they might be reduced down to one or two sentences:
The reason I suggest keeping the description of the situation this brief is, according to the Law of Attraction (like attracts like), the more attention we give to a problem, the more difficult it becomes to resolve it.
Step Two--Write Out a Description of the Solution
Next I make a header entitled "Solution" and write out a one or two sentence description of what I would like to experience in a solution. Below are example solutions for the situations listed above:
I used to write out detailed solutions that included how my solution was going to come about. Finally, I realized that isn't my job and I don't have that kind of power, only the Universal Forces do. I was also inadvertently limiting the ways that my solution could come to me and thereby needlessly lengthening the time when I could receive it. Through opening myself up to my solution coming in whatever form was most effective and efficient, I started allowing all my solutions to come more quickly and in serendipitous ways that I could neither imagine much less create on my own.
Step Three--Explain Why You Want This Solution
This step can be quite powerful in attracting the solution I want, in addition to being fun and uplifting. On the same page as my "Situation" and "Solution" descriptions, I write another header entitled "Why I Want This Solution."
Then I list all the reasons having this solution in my life would benefit me as well as people around me. I take care, though, to write these reasons in the present tense, as though the solution is already in my life.
Here are examples of that using the solution for the debt situation:
Putting my focus and attention on why I want my solution allows me to detach my energy from the problem and instead begin to match that of the solution. This step also shifts my thoughts and feelings to where my solution seems much more "real" as opposed to wishing it could be.
Step Four--Allowing for Happy Surprises
Even though I now have clarity about what I would like to experience instead of what I am experiencing, I know that my mind does have limitations in what it can imagine as possible. The Universal forces have no such limitation. Therefore, I always leave room for a solution I had not thought of that would be even more wonderful to experience. I also like to express appreciation in a way that sends a message to my subconscious to align with this solution.
To accomplish both these aims, underneath why I want my solution, I write the following:
"This solution or something even better is now in my life in totally harmonious ways. Thank you!"
Typically, after finishing writing this last piece, I feel a letting go of trying to fix something I cannot and of handing everything over to forces much more powerful than me.
Step Five--Using A Gold Sun
For the last step of this process, I find a comfortable place to sit and fold my paper so it easily fits between my hands. Then I close my eyes and take several deep breaths, allowing my thoughts to slow down and my body to relax. Then I imagine up above me a beautiful Gold Sun. I pretend that this Gold Sun has magical properties and responds to my requests.
First, I ask my Gold Sun to please take into itself and transform all the negative thoughts and emotions that have been causing me discomfort. I make this request silently in my mind. After I make this request, I sometimes feel gentle pulling sensations around my body that let me know I am, indeed, releasing and letting go of these problematic energies. If not, I to tune into where I am holding onto negative, dense energies in my body and give them permission to leave.
When I feel that I have released all that I can at that moment, I mentally send another request to my Gold Sun to please flow its healing gold energy through my body and out my hands to the paper I am holding. While the gold energy is flowing, I consciously place my attention on various aspects of the solution I have written, allowing images or scenes to come into my mind that feel really good.
To finish, I thank my Gold Sun, sending Love and Appreciation for the positive outcome I know will soon appear in my life. I will then place my paper in some place that feels sacred to me. For me, that place is on the table I sit next to while meditating.
Depending upon how much resistance I have built up around the situation, I may need to go through the step five of the process several times over the next few weeks. After that time, my thoughts, emotions, and the situation will usually have shifted in some way. As soon as that happens, my solution appears.
What To Expect?
One of the many benefits to using this process to empower solutions is I always receive the essence of what I am seeking to experience. As suggested by the Albert Einstein quote at the beginning of this page, the solution invariably turns out to be simpler than I imagined and often much better than I imagined.
My recommendation is to be observant and notice any differences in thought patterns, emotions, or what is happening around you. These differences may be slight at first. But if you have followed this process step by step, soon you will receive your solution in its highest and best form.

Under "Situation" I briefly describe in one or two sentences the highlights of what is going on, as well as the negative emotions I'm experiencing.
Here are some examples of different situations and how they might be reduced down to one or two sentences:
- I'm feeling overwhelmed with debt and have no idea how to reduce it.
- My communication with __________ always seems to end in an argument. I'm frustrated and confused as to why this keeps happening.
- Every time I go on a diet, I always end up gaining the weight back and sometimes even more. I get upset when I look in my closet and see the nice clothes I have that are too small for me to wear.
- I'm really bored at my job and it feels like a dead end to me. But with all the uncertainty in the economy, I get scared every time I think about finding new employment.
- I am happily reducing my overall debt every month. The relief and gratitude I feel is absolutely delightful.
- My communication with _________ is filled with much greater clarity and mutual understanding and I am loving the new peace that flows between us.
- I am finding it amazingly easy to reduce my weight and I have a certainty I've never felt before that the image I have of myself is soon to be.
- My current job has become more interesting and engaging for me. New, exciting opportunities for growth are seemingly dropping into my lap as well.
Here are examples of that using the solution for the debt situation:
- My physical well-being has improved due to the reduction of stress
- I feel more positive and optimistic about my future
- Everyone close to me enjoys being around me more because of my happy outlook
- My self-esteem has risen from realizing this desire
Putting my focus and attention on why I want my solution allows me to detach my energy from the problem and instead begin to match that of the solution. This step also shifts my thoughts and feelings to where my solution seems much more "real" as opposed to wishing it could be.
